Copley Cross Country — Weekly Update

Definitely a learning week at Medina. Now we need to lock in on the things we’ve talked about all season as we prepare for Suburban and Districts. The biggest lesson learned was the importance of Nutrition and Hydration. We had a few kids say they did not eat breakfast or hydrate properly. As Coach K says: “if you don’t put gas in the car, how can you expect it to get you where you want to go?” The same goes for your body — you need to fuel it right and hydrate consistently. Not just water but with electrolytes! This isn’t just on race day — it’s every day in practice and especially in the days leading up to competition.

Take care of the small things, and they’ll add up to big performances when it counts.

The Suburban League consists of two conferences: American and National. Copley competes in the American Conference with Aurora, Barberton, Cuyahoga Falls, Highland, Revere, Kent Roosevelt, and Tallmadge.

Bus Leaves at 7:00 AM

Race Times:
• 9:00 AM – American Boys (NO Open Race, all athletes together)
• 9:45 AM – American Girls (NO Open Race, all athletes together)
• 11:00 AM – American Awards Ceremony (Starting Line)
